Post-Launch (1.1)
Hello there!
So, it's been a few days since launch, and I've been absolutely delighted to see people playing this. I have a lot of thoughts on the game as it is right now, and I'm working on the next milestone I have, which is incorporating feedback to improve things. I've already pushed some little changes, a few wording issues and a broken fade effect, which has been live for a few days now. I expect to get the first round of feedback changes out shortly, and then the feedback after that out by the 20th or so, depending on how the next few weeks pan out. The holiday season brings a lot of busyness and being away from my desktop, so there's potential for some delays.
Looking forward, I have set a hard deadline of whatever the submission date is for RPI's 2021 Game Fest is - usually in April - as the date I want to be truly "done" with the game. I have a few ideas for things to integrate depending on how much time I end up with before then. The main goal is to get sound in the game, which would be a lofty achievement, as my musical skills are rudimentary at best. There's always the option of royalty free music, but that has it's own issues of "this has been used in every twine game and youtube video over the sun". So we'll see how that pans out. I think even a mediocre soundtrack would add a lot to the experience, which is why I'm setting out to do it.
